Madhubani art is one of the most famous artworks in India. It is also called Mithila Art. This artwork is very beautiful and divine. Its geometric shape attracts art lovers. It originates in the Mithila area of 
Madhuban district of Bihar. Madhubani artwork was usually seen on the walls of Clay house in ancient times. But now we see it painted on paper, canvas.


 In ancient times, certain types of colors were used to make this painting. These colors were used to collect trees and soil. There are usually 5 types of Madhubani art e.g.Bharni, Kachin, Tantrik,godna,kobharn the 1960s, Varni, Kachin, Tantric style artworks were only painted by brahmana, Kayastha women. They use tools like twing, matchsticks painting brush,finger .  There is no space left in this painting. The vacancies are covered with animals, birds, and leaves. 

 In ancient times, the painting depicted the rahasalila of Radha Krishna, the lifestyle of kings and queens, the marriage of Shiva Parvati,and the depiction of the goddess Devi.
 The women also painted the rice paste on the walls and in the courtyard of their respective huts. Puja festivals especially Durga Puja, Kali Puja, Holi,On Diwali, etc., the artwork was painted in the courtyard of his house.
       But now this Madhubani artwork is world-famous.
