How to cook sambar
Ingredients for sambar masala
1 tbsp chana dal
1 tbsp urad dal
1 tbsp coriander seed
6 to 8 whole dry red chilies.
1 tsp turmeric powder.
1/2 tsp hing.
Sambar masala preparation method
First, take a pan and fry all the ingredients in it, for 2 to 5 minutes, and let it cool for 2 minutes,then blend in a mixer to a smooth powder.
Ingredients for sambar preparation,
1 cup toover Dal (Arhar)
1 tbsp chana Dal
1 cup brinjal
1 drumstick ( cut it 3 pieces)
1/4 chopped pumpkin
1/2 cup chopped samber onion
1/2 cup chopped tomato
1 tsp oil ( you can use any kind of refined oil, coconut oil)
fenugreek seed (methi)
6 to 7 curry leaves
1/4 tsp hing
1 tsp mustard seed
preparation method of sambar .
Soak toover dal and chana dal in water for 20 minutes,
combine the dal with 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 5 to 4 whistles.
then take a pan, add chopped brinjals, chopped pumpkin, drumstick, and add 1 cup water. add salt as a test.
mix it well, and cook on medium flame 5 to 8minutes.
after cooking adds cooked dals chopped tomato, tamarind pulp prepared sambar masala,and mix it well.
after that, take another pan for the tempering, heat the oil in a pan add mustard seed.
when the mustard seed crackle, add curry leaves, fenugreek seed, hing after the few seconds pour the tempering over the samber and mix it well, cook on slow flame
4 to 5 min.
serv hot with rice.
How to cook rasam
Ingredients for rasam masala
1 tbsp chana dal
1 tbsp urad dal
1 tbsp coriander seed
6 to 8 whole dry red chilies.
1 tsp turmeric powder.
1/2 tsp hing.
5 to 6 whole black peppercorns
1/2 tsp cumin seed
Preparation method of rasam masala
take a pan fry all the ingredients in it. for 2 to 5 minutes. and let it cool 2 min. after 2 min blend in a mixer to a fine powder. keep aside.

2 cup chopped tomato
1/2 tamarind pulp
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 tsp oil ( you can use any kind of refind oil, coconut oil)
fenugreek seed (methi)
6 to 7 curry leaves
1/4 tsp hing
1 tsp mustard seed
preparation method of rasam
Combine the dal, chopped tomato, with 2 cups of water and pressure cook for 5 to 4 whistles.
After that take a pan for tempering, heat the oil in a pan add mustard seed.
when the mustard seed crackle, add curry leaves, chopped onion, fenugreek seed, hing after the few seconds pour the tempering over the rasam and mix it well, add rasam masala and cook on slow flame 4 to 5 min.
serv hot with rice, idli, dosa, etc.
